 DESCRIPTION
Rock Hall donates $1,000 annually to the Department of Agriculture to implement mosquito Integrated Pest Management (IPM). Mosquito fish, which eat mosquito larvae, are placed into known mosquito habitat such as ditches and areas of standing water. IPM tablets are also placed in some ditches. These contain Bti (Bacillus thuringiensis israelensis) that kills mosquitoes, fungus, gnats and a few other fly species, but will not harm people, fish or plants.
